IN MEMORIAM : GALA Founder Stephen H. Snell, '66, passed away on January 10th, 2008. His love, his energy, his vision and his tenacity for over twenty years has been the source of GALA's existence and success. All of us have lost an advocate, and many of us have lost a good friend. Details of his Memorial Service will be posted here as soon as they are available.

Jeff Trammell, William and Mary class of ’73 and a GALA member, has been appointed to the William and Mary Board of Visitors. (Washington Blade article) Jeff, along with Craig Hoffman ’77, has been taking the lead at organizing a cocktail reception and dinner to raise funds for the Richard Cornish Endowment Fund at Swem Library on September 7, 2005.

William and Mary has appointed its 26th president, Gene R. Nicol. He was former Dean and Burton Craige Professor of the Law School of the University of North Carolina and has been described by the local press as a liberal.
